Veľkoformátové plátna Viktora Fučeka (1977) sú fúziou maľby a performance na spôsob palimpsestu. Autor sa zaoberá ľudskou bytosťou, tým čo všetko ju ovplyvňuje tu a teraz, a to sociálne aj politicky. Zaoberá sa hraničnými bodmi prežitia či slobody a v tomto duchu pracuje aj s dielami iných umelcov. Prepojenie s prostredím vníma ako zásadný moment a modifikátor toho, ako v istom momente vidíme realitu. Jeho veľkoformátové „vrstevnaté“ maľby pripomínajú post-romantické zobrazenia prírody v podobe abstraktných krajín. „Viktor Fuček porotu oslovil především sérií maleb, které mají vlastně charakter nějaké performativní akce, protože vznikají energickým malířským převzetím, přemalováním pláten jiných malířů, v tomto případě spřátelených, tedy není to nepřátelské převzetí, ale je v tom ta silná energie přesto cítit.“ (MB)
